cupping results

here is the skinny:

washed: maybe next time. the washed was clean and a little thin. i only allowed a 12 hour fermentation. next harvest i will experiment with longer fermentation times: 24 and 36 hour. this sample is soooooooo beautiful the color was that blue-green roasters dream of. next year i hope it tastes as good as it looks.

pulp-natural: the winner. juicy, clean, sweet, heavy, balanced acidity and body. all the feed back on this was positive.

full natural: victim of the rain. naturals do well in hot dry climates. the DR had the wetttest Oct. ever recorded. and the rain was pretty steady through November. basically the sample was a little tangy, over ripe, and ferment-y. what do you expect when you try to dry coffee after a tropical storm that dumped 48 inches of rain in 24 hours?

so all my hard work was not in vain. the coffee from my farm has potential and now i just need to get it to the market.
