how much are you willing to pay for coffee?

really. how much are you willing and able to pay for one pound of coffee*?

*coffee that is truly high quality, sustainability produced and pays respectable prices through the supply chain (from farmer, to millers, to exporter, to broker, to importer, to roaster, to retail, to the consumer [you])

i was at a japanese steak house and asked a guy this question: he said "you know times are tough man" - he was intoxicated at a japanese steak house! - he said "man. . . the most i could pay for a cup of coffee is $1.75 or $8-$9 for a pound."

if this guy has money for sake but not for coffee, we are doomed. byron
